    Older Sibling:

The older sibling tends to be more obedient and responsible.

Older siblings perceive that there tends to be higher expectations by parents of older sibling than other - S/he is blamed/disciplined more than younger sibling(s) and resents this.

In the Bible - The elder brother expects blessings/inheritance.

    What they have in common:

"Typical" older and younger sibling behavior is not always true - Sometimes older siblings are wild and younger siblings are compliant.

Both are loved, but both tend to feel that their parents love the other one - the older sibling for being responsible and the younger one because they let him/her have their way.

    Younger sibling:

Parents tend to be more tolerant of younger sibling(s) and younger siblings have the tendency to be more opinionated and defiant.

Older siblings perceive that parents think that younger siblings can do no wrong.

In the Bible: Younger siblings receive blessings.
